If you bet it’s soaking wet….

You win... and sorry, I once again forgot the camera cable, drat!

The Benque highlights… well, it’s not the sunlight, cold and rainy once again, I am tired of cold, muddy, wet toes! Only time I think I have been warm today is in the shower.
Um, if I made it sound like it is warm water powering out of the faucet, don’t let me mislead... It would be the warm water I poured over my head.

Household survival skill #1, take notes.
Find two empty gallon canned corn or pork and bean cans, fill with water, set it on a mini electric burner, and after about 45 minutes of heating you can have 2 gallons of warm water. Hard to believe but enough to shampoo, condition and wash.

Dad it is kind of like your instant hot water set-up… definitely doesn’t start out cold and get hot like some faucets in the US!

Tomorrow: Household survival skill #2, how to use a fan to simultaneously blow dry your hair and rain soaked skirt. (it will have to wait a day since I need advice on how to make the air hot and dry…humph!)

And for good news, no, make that great news! My days as a face painter will return! Who knows maybe I am on the cusp of the career as an American clown. Eeeeekkkk! Clowns are too scary and creepy!

Maybe I can still dress up though :).

Anyway, this Friday I will be heading up the face painting team at the primary school Valentine’s Day bizarre. I have commandeered two volunteers (with experience:)) to help paint faces. Now, you may be wondering where you could possibly find face paint in Benque, if not, you should!
Soooo, I will cut the suspense and fill you in on the secret – shortening, cornstarch and food coloring – I’ll let you know if it works! (should that be tip #3?:)) Oh, I get to do helium balloons too!!!! Now what to wear:) Nothing can compete with the pink southern bell getup Tasha got me into in Denton.

Spent most of the day “training” someone at the bookstore again, no details!

Love and prayers for all,

your favorite uber-goober
(don't question the term, a wise friend assured me it is a "awesomely
radical term of endearment" for people with great blogs! who
knew:)
