Lately… little bit of everything…
Okay I finally have to take a moment and get some things written, getting to the "too long since_ to tell all" phase so it will likely lack the typical tedious particulars.
Just a run down of the last couple of days and all the amazing things that have happened for those who like the chronological minute report, um are there any:)?
Tasha left for Dallas Thursday, so we wished her well with lunch at Hu Dat (um this was unfortunately after we had dropped her off, it was great tash Dad was back in the "Bs" :).
Friday my mom and I spent the morning at the fabric store, compiling all our exciting crafty ideas and ideals, it was a blast – we have such vision it was unreal! As you can see from the picture, we had a Port party that night. Caviar and split three mini bottles - a true taste test, cleared our pallets well. As I mentioned I am a tawny gal, ruby was too dry and whites a bit too sweet: I’m tawny!
Saturday was incredible!!!!!!!!!! We went to an ordination at the Cathedral, two priests, now: Fr. James Mulligan, S.O.L.T. and John Forbus, diocesan. Ordinations are so glorious, the choir, the prayers, the bishop, the first blessing – all around great!
Plus, this was incredible! Fr, John McHugh was there. I love Fr. John still smiling just from having seen him!
I also met and saw some really great people at the reception, just an all around affirming experience, sorry no more details on such a broad statement.
That night mom and I headed to the Corpus Christ Symphony, it was fun. So different from all of the performance I have been to since leaving for college – everywhere you turn you recognize someone, not a needle in a haystack her! The new performance hall is great – totally intimate feeling, great acoustics and the symphony played really well. All around impressive experience!
Sunday after our bacon and eggs, mom and I were off to San Antonio to visit the some of our great Medjorgie friends, we met them at the most tasteful, reverent and attentive Childrens mass I have been to, went out for a wonderful Italian lunch (Italian and I didn’t even get sick!) with all four kids (including new Ben, so beautiful and perfect) and not a single tear or argument. After lunch went back to their house, mom and Cathy visited, Mic knitted (mom taught her), Allie slept and Jeff and Jake and I watched the Fantastic Four. Surprisingly I really enjoyed it, a lot. Then back to C.C. - full day but so nice.
Now for my latest excitement - last night I went to a meeting at the S.O.L.T. College. I call it the Up-and-Coming Church Ladies group. But honestly it was a group of 15 C.C. girls, I mean "women" :) all just about my age (about 22-29) they meet every week at a different place (they had a priest visiting this week) and discuss good girl things. We talked about femininity in today's society. It was so neat to realize there are Corpus girls that have the same values and morals as me in the real world. You know have a drink but not dress like a tramp etc… Anyway I feel like I made friends - an all around wonderful experience.
Okay I best run and see if I can get this posted.
Tasha arrived back in Belize yesterday – I am due at 3:36 Saturday.
Dad and I our off to San Antonio at 6:30 tomorrow morning, Snikes!- Dad has a Dr. appt, and i'm ridding shot gun... wish me luck on on the early A.M.
Love and prayers to all!
I am going to see if I can coerce my papa to take go to the club with me:)
