Prayer for Papa por favor!
Hey just a quick request for prayers here. My dad is in the hospital and having a pace maker put in today at 2:45. He has been dragging a bit the last week, and the doctors have determined it is due to missing some beats. Apparently, the pace maker will get him in the groove though!
I spoke with my mom this morning, se said they use local anesthetic and he should be home within 24 hours.
I am back in Belize, arrived Saturday night… long story but I am back in benque.
I did discover the one way to instantaneously get fr dan and fr. Mark to smile for hours (um, it wasn’t show up:) just bring them a Big Mac and fries. After seeing their reaction, I think it is an unforgivable offence for anyone to come to belize without a sack of McDs.
I am slowly becoming settled for my final stint in the country. Spent yesterday moving. I know sounds like it is just what I do for fun these days, but there was a need.
I joke that I am staying at the convent, but not really. Or just staying in the guy volunteers backyard, but not really.
The three sisters live in half of a duplex, located in the boy volunteers backyard, the other half was rented by the mission for two girls while I was State side, one working on becoming a sister, the other still in school. Anyway there was an extra bedroom, so I have a great place to stay. I joke about were it is, but honestly the best situation ever. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, and I have my own room, seems like it has been a while. The house is nice too: two story concrete, three rooms upstairs and downstairs a kitchen (well sink and countertop) living room and bathroom. It would be the best place in the world with a frig!
The other two girls living there are incredible - very nice, fun, and early bedders!
That is my world for now. Please please please pray for my dad. He has such a big heart, so I know he will be okay, but some prayer insurance would be great!
