and.... it's lent....

There are just so many unbelievably wonderful things to write, but (and I am not saying this to be a downer…) but knowing that so close to my heart (around Tasha) there are so many unbelievable challenges being taken on alone is a bit disheartening.
So... as I start, if you only have two minutes, please take that time to pray for Tasha and skip reading my blog.

Now for a quick brief... and oh some of the funny frivolities…

The Rice baseball game in C.C. last Tuesday was great!!!! And of course the owls won.
Little known fact: Wataburger field has the world's greatest fries! Really crispy, bits of skin and lots of salt and pepper and BIG ketchup dishes:) a must have!

My mom and I celebrated Fat Tuesday with a trip to the new, super huge H.E.B on Saratoga. It was incredible. So large, tons of fresh things, even a sushi stand and organic cranberry walnut bread. Who knew that could be here????
The best part was being chased down by a women and two HEB employees after we stole a cart, um, with a purse in it… hey, it was easy to be distracted by the pretzel with chipotle mustard sauce sample:)….
This does rival for the best part, dairy free ice cream - a brand I didn’t even know existed that uses coconut milk! I opted for the Tequila Lime – terrific!!!!

look it's HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Posted by Picasa
more pics at the bottom.

Now for ash Wednesday… yep lent is still... not my favorite season. I even had the great Lenten experience of going to mass at the normal time, but since lent just isn’t normal, it started at 6:30, an hour latter. But why use complaints for start time when you can save them for when it ends – KIDDING!!! Honest!!!!

Thursdays favorite and major highlight.
No, surprisingly not the flashbacks that accompanied the wonderful chicken and dumplings that my mummie made, how does she make things taste so good?
It was - once again becoming a member of the Corpus Christi Athletic Club!
My dad has been on medical leave for the past month, so when he reactivated he started (unfortunately at 26 I am just too old to be added as his daughter, strange if you ask me!) a membership for me. The best part was when the membership guy looked at me while filling out the paperwork and said, "So I guess the same address?" He stopped asking questions by the time he came to N/A for employer – thank you for not giving me the "loser" look! Anyway, I may have a few issues:) - getting to the age in life that I thought I would have it all together and seem to be going the other direction in some aspects.

My mom and I are off to S.A. in the afternoon to meet up with our wonderful Medjugorje travel friends!!!!! I can't wait they are terrific!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and i am getting good at the San Antonio trip!)

Love and prayers to all!
